PT Teen/Tween Library Assistant

 

Seeking: PT Teen/Tween Library Assistant

Huron Public Library, Huron, OH

The Huron Public Library in Huron, Ohio is seeking an energetic and creative part time (24 hours per week) Teen/Tween Library Assistant, with the ability to work evenings and weekends. Highly qualified candidates will have demonstrable experience working with children, a familiarity with public libraries, knowledge of literature and educational resources for teens and tweens, little fear when it comes to public speaking and performing, and the ability to assist with the development and implementation of a comprehensive programming schedule for library patrons ages 10 to 18. The Teen/Tween Library Assistant will play a key role in the implementation of the annual Summer Reading Program. Other duties include collection development and management, outreach to the local schools and community, and coverage of the Circulation Desk. Hourly wage will be entry level though negotiable with experience and level of education. A competitive benefit package is included.

Huron Public Library is a school district library located near the shores of Lake Erie. The Library serves a population of over 10,000 residents.
