PT Teen/Tween Library Assistant

 

Seeking: Part-Time Teen/Tween Library Assistant (24 hrs/week)

Huron Public Library, Huron, OH

The Huron Public Library in Huron, Ohio is seeking an energetic and creative part-time (24 hours per week) Teen/Tween Library Assistant, with the ability to work some evenings and weekends. Highly qualified candidates will have demonstrable experience working with children, a familiarity with public libraries, knowledge of literature and educational resources for teens and tweens, little fear when it comes to public speaking and performing, and the ability to assist with the development and implementation of a comprehensive programming schedule for Library patrons ages 10 to 18. The Teen/Tween Library Assistant will play a key role in the implementation of the annual Summer Reading Program. Other duties include collection development and management, outreach to the local schools and community, and coverage of the Circulation Desk. Hourly wage will be entry level though negotiable with experience and level of education. A competitive benefit package is included.

PT Circulation Assistant

 

Seeking: Part-Time Circulation Assistant (24 hrs/week)

Huron Public Library, Huron, OH

The Huron Public Library in Huron, Ohio is seeking an energetic and friendly part time (24 hours per week) Circulation Assistant, with the ability to work some evenings and weekends. Highly qualified candidates will have demonstrable experience providing outstanding customer service, a familiarity with public libraries, knowledge of literature and media resources, organizational and clerical abilities, and a passion for working directly with the public. The Circulation Assistant will play a key role in answering patron questions and troubleshooting technology, as assigned. Hourly wage will be entry level with a benefit package included.

FT Head of Customer and Technical Services

 

Seeking: Full-Time Head of Customer and Technical Services (40 hrs/week)

Huron Public Library, Huron, OH

The Huron Public Library in Huron, Ohio is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) service-minded and detail-oriented Head of Customer and Technical Services, with the ability to work a flexible schedule. Highly qualified candidates will have demonstrable experience working with all ages in a public library setting, a familiarity with public libraries, and knowledge of best practices in technical services. The Head of Customer and Technical Services will play a key role in the supervision of circulation and technical services staff. Other duties include selection and acquisition of Library materials, outreach to the community, overseeing the Library volunteer program, and managing the Library’s passport services to the public. Preferred applicants will have an Associate’s Degree with 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience with library circulation and reference and technical services supervision.

Salary range: $28,000 to $32,000 annually with a competitive benefits package.
