Our second book sale of the year will be held Friday through Sunday, September 8-10. The ‘members’ only reception will be Thursday, September 7 from 6-8 pm. Please bring your invitation to redeem your $5 of Friends’ Bucks at the sale. We will begin taking new memberships and renewals for 2018 beginning in September, and all new and renewals will also be eligible for Friends’ Bucks. Our pricing will be in effect for the sale: $3 for new hardcovers (with yellow stickers), $1 for hardcovers and DVDs, paperbacks, young adult, and children’s book are 50 cents.
We are seeking a volunteer to take over the duties of the Membership Chairperson. The Chair is responsible for maintaining the member information on a computer spreadsheet and generating mailing labels. We would like to thank Darlene Franklin for her many years of service as Membership Chair. Darlene is willing to share her time and talents to train her successor. If you are interested in assisting the Friends as Membership Chair, please contact the library.
In 2018, we will be initiating a new structure for our Business Sponsor partners to tie in with this quarterly newsletter. A $25 donation will earn the sponsor a listing in one issue of “Between the Bookends”, with $50 earning two listings, $75 for 3 listings and $100 for an entire year. Please note our 2017 Business Sponsors listed below. Your support for these local enterprises is important to your community and our Library.
Volunteer opportunities are abundant during our book sales. We are looking for people of all physical abilities, from those who can lift and move heavy boxes, to those willing to help as a cashier at the sale for a shift. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up for a shift at the circulation desk.
Thank you in advance for any time you can give and for your continued donations of lightly used books and DVDs for the sale.
See you at the sale!
