This series is comprised of 3 programs in March, April, and May. Each program will discuss a different aspect of healthy eating. Register for one, two, or all three!

 


How to Plan Better for Mealtime and Snack Attack


Tuesday, March 5 at 6:30 pm

 

Join Susan Shickley, Program Assistant from Ohio State University Extension, for this program which will focus on tips to help you plan so you can make healthy, nutritious meals using the "pantry principle." Included will be suggestions for healthy snacks, as well as a couple of tasty food demonstrations.

Microbiome: The Magic and Mystery of Your Gut Bugs


Tuesday, April 2 at 6:30 pm

 

This program, with Donna Green, FCS Educator from Ohio State University Extension, will take us inside the human gut where we will look at our microbial inhabitants. We will examine the influence of "gut bugs" on nutrition, health, and behavior. There will be demonstrations and tastings on two food items.

What's New in Nutrition?


Tuesday, May 7 at 6:30 pm

 

Donna Green, FCS Educator from Ohio State University Extension returns to present on what comprises a healthy diet. We will look at historical changes in food recommendations over the years. You will learn how too much or too little of specific foods can affect your risk for chronic disease. We will also review some of the fad diets currently being featured in the news. There will be demonstrations and tastings on two food items.
