Tiny Houses and Green Buildings

Join Adam Davenport, Project Manager from the Detroit Shoreway Community Development Organization in Cleveland, for a discussion on tiny houses and environmentally friendly design in architecture. Tiny houses have surged in popularity because of their cost, efficiency, and mobility.

Container Gardening with Sharon Barnes

Join Ms. Barnes at Barnes Nursery on Cleveland Rd. West as she shows all the new ways to use containers for gardening. Participants may bring their own containers to get advice on how to use them and what plants will be best.

A Very Short History of Musical Theatre

Join Benjamin Reid for a whirlwind, and very short, history of musical theatre from Showboat to Hamilton. He will additionally cover the structure of songs in a traditional musical, with audio and visual examples. This talk should give the novice or experienced theatergoer something to ponder when seeing a musical.

Old Plat Historical Walking Tour

Several residents of Old Plat will take participants on a walking tour of the historical Old Plat district of Huron. Join them as they talk about the older homes and explain some of the history of Huron. Meet in the main lobby of the Library.
