This year we present a new, easier way for all teens to participate in summer reading. Read a book, magazine, newspaper or graphic novel. When you’re finished, go to the table in the Teen Area where you will find a binder, entry tickets, prize cans and other fun contests and program information. Put your information in the binder on the table only the first time you enter. Every time you read, fill out an entry ticket and drop it in the can representing the prize you want to win. The more you read, the more entries you have, the better your chances to win! The last day to enter is Friday, July 21. Prize winners will be announced Monday, July 24. Recent high school graduates can choose to register as a Teen or an Adult.
Adults are encouraged to attend programs and read books to earn chances for grand prizes. Examples of prizes are gift cards, prize baskets, and other items donated by area merchants. Each book read earns one chance for a prize. Stop at the Adult Desk to record your reading, and those readers who reach the goal of 6 books will win a free book. The last day to record your books is Friday, July 21 by 5 pm. Trivia contests will be held throughout the program. Be sure to “Build a Better World,” and try them!
Adults can check the events calendar on the website to register for individual programs, or register to participate in prize reading here, beginning June 6.
