This is a series of four workshops for young writers which will require participants to actively write and share their work within the group in an effort to learn something of the craft and imagination of a storyteller. The program is open to those who write (or want to write) prose or poetry.
The group will be led by local novelist and poet Rob Smith, who finished his first book when he stitched folded pages together with yarn while sitting under the kitchen table. Since then, he has published more than nine novels and three books of poetry. In 2006, he won the Robert Frost Award for poetry from the Frost Foundation. Several of his books have been catalogued in the Library of Congress in Washington D.C.
