COVID-19 Test Kits

Huron Public Library is offering free at-home COVID-19 test kits available through contactless Curbside Pickup when supplies are available. This service has been made possible by a partnership with the Ohio Health Department. Tests may be proctored or unproctored. We do not know what type of kits we will receive or when we will receive more once we run out.

Patrons must call the Library and register to pick up COVID-19 test kits via Curbside Pickup when they are available. To register, please call the Library at (419) 433-5009 on the day you wish to pick up a kit. We ask that patrons only call on the day that they are able to pick up a kit, as we are no longer scheduling pickup times for future dates. There are currently no weekend pickup times.

Once you have registered your pickup date, simply pull into a parking spot, pop the trunk of your vehicle and call the Library to let a staff member know you have arrived. Please DO NOT enter the Library to pick up test kits.

  • Patrons can request up to four test kits per vehicle.
  • Kits can only be picked up before 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday and before 4 pm on Friday.
  • Kits are not held overnight. If a pickup time is missed, patrons will need to call and register on another day.
  • Tests are not intended to be picked up inside or administered in the Library.
  • Please DO NOT enter the Library if you have been exposed to COVID-19 or if you are feeling ill.
  • Library staff are not able to discuss medical questions.

Please contact the Erie County Health Department or your personal health care provider with any questions concerning test taking or test results. Testing is not a replacement for vaccination, masking, or social distancing.
